Delhi Tulu Siri

Delhi Tulu Siri is being planned to be organized in New Delhi on 24th February 2013.
Tuluvas from Tulunad and across the globe are being invited to participate in this mega cultural and social function.
We, Tuluvas in Delhi, are proud to host this prestigious event.

An Executive Committee under the leadership of Shri I. Ramamohan Rao, former Principal Information Officer and Media Advisor to the Prime Minister of India, has been formed to provide direction and guidance. We are planning to invite Shri D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala to preside over the function.

have expressed their support and assured to be in the forefront in organizing the event in a befitting manner in the national capital of India.

The day-long event will include ceremonial inauguration, cultural programmes, food mela and exhibitions depicting the Tulu tradition, culture and language. Eminent Tuluvas from different fields will address the gathering on the occasion.

The event will also have participation from South and Hindi film industry. Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Suniel Shetty, Shivadwaj, Anushka Shetty, Dayanand Shetty are among a few who the organizers are talking to invite them. Kabaddi queen Mamata Poojary will also be invited to inspire us.

The event is being organized to showcase the proud Tulu culture in the national capital as well as to impress upon the people to provide due recognition to Tulu language in Indian Constitution.

In this regard, a preliminary meeting of all Tuluvas in New Delhi and National Capital Region is called on Sunday 9th December 2013 at 3.00 p.m. at Delhi Karnataka Sangha, Rao Tularam Marg, RK Puram, New Delhi.

The roadmap of the event, responsibility to all Delhi Tuluvas in organizing this magnanimous event as well as ideas from participants will be discussed in the meeting. Dr. Purushothama Bilimale, eminent folklorist will provide the direction.

You are requested to come along with your Tuluva friends and actively contribute as a host of Delhi Tulu Siri.
