South Kanara Events in Delhi

Delhi Tulu Siri - 24th February 2013

"Delhi Tulu Siri" – an Association organised in Delhi, has taken up the cause of inclusion of Tulu language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India. In this regard, Delhi Tulu Siri in association with other Tulu and Kannada organisations, organised a series of programs in New Delhi on February 24, to seek support of the national and State level leaders, various organisations and citizens for the said mission. As you may have received reports, the programs were very a grand success. The success of the various programs organised by Delhi Tulu Siri and the support of the leaders and citizens has renewed and strengthened the hope of the mission receiving greater support and success this time.

Around 2000 Tuluvas from Tulunadu and across the globe participated in this mega cultural and social function. The day-long event included ceremonial inauguration, cultural programs, Tulunadu Food Mela and exhibition depicting Tulu tradition, culture and language. The event also had participation of celebrities from Hindi and Kannada film industry apart from Honorable Ministers, Members of Parliament, Members of legislative assembly of Karnataka and Maharashtra and scholars of Tulu.
